With Compassion & Soul

 A HUGE HEARTFELT THANK YOU

 At this point in time I am humbled and wildly appreciative of the support my local shopping centre is giving With Compassion & Soul.          

The Seaford Shopping Centre has been supporting us for a few years now but has stepped up it's support in the last few months.

1)Firstly want to thank Brian and The Seaford Shopping Centre Management for advertising a promotion that a local photographer Glenn Alderson(more below) has been doing to raise awareness for his work and With Compassion & Soul and with all proceeds being donated by Glenn to With Compassion & Soul. The Centre Management have taken out a 1/2 page advert in the local Messenger Newspaper to promote this project.  I also want to thank centre management for always supporting and encouraging With Compassion & Soul and offering us many opportunities within the centre.

2)Secondly I want to thank Glenn Alderson from Glenn Alderson Photography (and also the best Baristas at the local Gloria Jeans!) for dreaming up the 'Capture the Cheeky Animal in your Child' Promotion currently on at Seaford Shopping Centre. He has created this promotion and is donating all proceeds to With Compassion & Soul. A display of his beautiful photographic work is up in the centre under the dome for the next 2 weeks and the facepainting/photo opportunity is 11 - 2pm on both sat 31st Oct and sat 7th Oct, 2009. Thanks heaps Glenn.   

3)Thirdly I wish to thank Sarah & Jack at Gloria Jeans and all the staff for continuously supporting us since they opened 2 yrs ago. They have had one of our Donation boxes sitting on their counter the whole 2yrs and we have raised a few thousands dollars thanks to the generous locals who are loyal customers of Gloria Jeans.

4) Next I wish to thank Sheree at Fly International Surf Shop at Seaford Shopping Centre for having one of our donation boxes and selling our jewellery to help us raise funds, without the support of people/shops like this our job would much more difficult.

5) Also a big THANK YOU to TC's Fruit & Veg who also have one of our boxes and sell our powdered Kaffir Lime Leaves which seem to go like hot cakes!! And to Jody, Mark & Dar who have helped with collating merchandise and holding past raffles. Thank you for your support.

6) The CPS Credit Union decided to highlight With Compassion and Soul as the local charity that they support from Oct to Dec 09 by holding a raffle for us and letting us have mini lunchtime stalls once a week at their entrance throughout Oct - Dec also. This support was unexpected and a fabulous surprise and we THANK them for thinking of us and getting behind us.

7) And last but not least is our newest Supporter from Seaford Shopping Centre which is our local Australia Post. THANK YOU They have had a box on their counter now since the Victorian Bushfires and have decided they wish to support With Compassion & Soul in this way which is much appreciated.

 So to have 7 traders in one small shopping centre supporting the Work With Compassion & Soul does is a testiment to the heart and soul of The Seaford Shopping Centre and the community cohesiveness that Brian and his team are always encouraging. As I said in the begining i am humbled and wildly appreciative.   xxbev

How do we raise the funds that we give to the organisations that we support?

1) We collect donations

2) We have donations boxes scattered around various outlets

3) We make a range of organic jams, sauces & chutneys and sell these in several stores, at stalls and private sales

4) We have stalls at animal friendly fairs, shows etc .

5) We have over 100 merchandise lines on our webstore. There are some great gifts on there plus animal merchandise.

6) We also get given vet supplies to distribute to these organisations as well.
